On November 20, 2014, a team of experts from Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association safely removed the historic fourth-order Fresnel lens from the St. Marks Lighthouse at the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. The light will be cleaned and repaired for display. This an important step in the preservation process to bring the lighthouse to its former glory.
